Zoning approval from the City of Safety Harbor Planning Division is required by the State of Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco for alcoholic beverage licenses.
Temporary Applications Please bring by a fully completed state application (including at least the completed cover page and proposed location diagram) for signature by Planning Division staff. You are welcome to stop by when City Hall is open and if staff is available, they will sign off. If staff is not available, you may leave the form and staff will contact you when it is available. You are welcome to schedule an appointment ahead of time to ensure staff will be available to assist you.
Permanent Applications Please fill out a City of Safety Harbor Permanent Alcoholic Beverage permit application and submit:
A fully completed state application (including at least the completed cover page and proposed location diagram) and
A copy of your business tax license.
Then, drop them off at the Planning Division. Application reviews may include other departments and separation requirements from churches and schools. The review time depends upon the application type and location.
