SHAZAM!! The Safety Harbor Public Library celebrates three days of comic book fun with contests, drawing and graphic novel classes taught by Mike Lyman of Magnum Arts, a Superhero Film Festival, and an Artist’s Alley Art Reception. 

A Graphic Novel Creation Workshop for Teens and Adults will be held on Thursday, May 3 from 5:00 - 7:30 pm and Basic Cartooning for Tweens and Teens will be held on Friday, May 4 at 4:00 pm.  The Superhero Film Festival will feature “Thor” on Thursday night at 8:00 pm and “Captain America” on Saturday at 3:00 pm.  Free popcorn available during the film festival.  Enter to win prizes in the “A Day at the Library” Comic Strip Contest through the month of May and in our “Dress as Your Favorite Comic Character Costume Contest” on Saturday, May 5 at 2:00 pm.
