Call to Artists: The City of Safety Harbor Public Art Committee is seeking a professional artist or team of artists to create original site specific artwork for the exterior of a public recreation facility. The facility is 30+ years old and is a multi-use center for all ages from pre-schoolers to seniors. Many families and community members frequent the center for recreational activities that include art, games, gatherings, weddings, playgroups, theater, and educational classes. The theme of the Safety Harbor Leisure Services is “It Starts in Parks” and “REAL Fun” although the themes are not a requirement in the artwork.
This call is open to professional artists residing in Florida with experience in execution, design, fabrication and installation of public artwork.
Selected artist(s) will work closely with city staff for an installation schedule.
Artists are requested to submit their design specifics for consideration. Submission Deadline August 30th.
