The City of Safety Harbor will once again present the Annual Safety Harbor Touch A Truck this Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 10:00AM to 1:00 PM at Safety Harbor City Park. The park is located at 940 7th Street S. Admission and Parking are free.
Event goers will have the opportunity to touch, climb inside, and maybe even operate vehicles they see on a daily basis. In addition to being a fun experience for the children, Touch a Truck is an educational event. Vehicle operators will be on hand to explain what the vehicles are used for, how they operate and what makes them unique.
Bayflite will be landing and taking off with one of their helicopters and the famous Rocketship Car, made from the retired Rocket Ships amusement ride at the Euclid Beach Park in Ohio, will be on hand. Event goers can get a ride in the Rocketship car for a nominal fee.
The Safety Harbor Public Works Department, The Safety Harbor Fire Department, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department will also have vehicles on site.
The Dalmingo Society plan to bring out 6 antique fire trucks to the event.
