[ARCHIVED] Celebrate National Poetry Month

Join the Safety Harbor Public Library in a celebration the written word during National Poetry Month at the 3rd Annual National Poetry Month Celebration on Thursday, April 5 at 6:00 pm.

Local poets Imani, John Foster, William Boden, Barbara Finkelstein, Michael je Whalen, Wayne S. Williams & Bob Zappacosta will kick off the evening’s open mic session. Fellow poets are welcome to sign up to share a favorite poem or one of their own creation during the event. Participants can enjoy a glass of wine, coffee donated from Starbucks and dessert from Peace Love & Cake while mingling with other literature enthusiasts. The evening will end with a round of the Surrealist poetry game “Exquisite Corpse” and a viewing of the poetic film “Second Life of a Sugar Bowl”. This event is free and open to the public.
