Looking for something to do this summer? Preferably something indoors? Or something educational? Well look no further than your local public libraries and museums for hundreds of FREE programs, classes, and events. Yes, it is all free!

But wait…don’t museums charge admission? Of course they do, but with your PPLC library card, admission to many local museums is 100% free through our Library Museum Pass Program!

PPLC has partnered with local museums to provide free admission simply by visiting your local library and checking out a Museum Pass to your favorite museum. Participating museums include:

How does the Museum Pass Program Work?

Passes are available at your local PPLC Member Library. You must check-out a pass in person, using a valid library card.

  • Passes cannot be put on hold.
  • Each library has two passes per museum, except the Henry B. Plant Museum which has six passes countywide.
  • Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our online catalog will tell you which passes are currently available. Passes are not renewable.
  • Upon check-out of a Museum Pass, you will be given a check-out receipt, which you will then present to the museum upon admission. The museum will keep the receipt.
  • Admission is good for two adults and three children, under the age of 18, residing in the same household.
  • You may check-out passes for more than one museum but you may only have one pass per museum at a time.
  • Passes are valid for one visit within the 7-day period. There is nothing to return to the library. Passes are automatically removed from your library account after 7 days.
  • There are no overdue fines on Museum Passes!

Your Pinellas Public Libraries are proud of our partnerships with these area museums. It is our hope that the Museum Pass Program will bring greater access to our local libraries and museums. We look forward to bringing you more museum partnerships in the future.
