Introduction to Digital Resources

Thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, music, movies, magazines and other resources are available to you free with your library card!

OverDrive, one of our most popular digital applications, provides access to eBooks, audiobooks and movies. Popular titles are available in digital format, and accessible through this platform.  You can install the OverDrive app on your mobile device, or access OverDrive on your computer.

This application has just been redesigned and updated, as of November 2016, for better usability on mobile devices.

Set up your OverDrive account with your library card number and PIN. You may download eBooks in ePUB or Kindle format to read on your mobile device or computer. Audiobooks are available in MP3 format or via streaming. Movies may be streamed on your mobile device with a click. Just like with regular library materials, you may place holds on titles that are already checked out. Any titles you've downloaded will automatically disappear from your device after the expiration date, so there's no need to worry about returns or fines. You have the opportunity to renew titles on OverDrive three days prior to their return time.

In addition to OverDrive, the following are also great resources for eBooks and audiobooks. Check out our full collection of digital resources at SafetyHarborLibrary.com
