City Working to Restore Power and Clean Up after Hurricane Irma

A few things to be aware of as you start to clean up from the storm. Monday’s trash pickup is scheduled to happen tomorrow, Wednesday 9/13. Along with trash service, our Sanitation crew will be picking up yard waste. It may take the crew a few days to pick up the yard waste, please be patient. Yard waste special pickup fees will be suspended until all storm debris is collected, this could take several weeks.

For downed trees: If your tree is blocking a right of way or road, contact the Public Works department at 724-1550. Any downed trees on private property are the responsibility of the homeowner.

More than 75% of Pinellas County was without power as of Monday night. Duke Energy is working hard to restore power as quickly as possible. Several crews are in Safety Harbor today restoring power: Duke Energy News Release, Residents Impacted by Power Outages.
