Fire Prevention PR, Safety Awareness Campaigns & Events
The Fire Department conducts numerous safety awareness campaigns, PR programs and events throughout the year, that highlight Back-to-School Safety, Fire Safety, Drowning Prevention, Pedestrian Safety and other major safety topics. We are busy in the community especially during the month of October, Fire Prevention Month and hope you can join us at our fire station open house and other safety events. Each December the Safety Harbor Fire Department continues a tradition that dates back over thirty years! The Fire Fighters and "Santa" team up to tour local Safety Harbor neighborhoods, driving through on the bright red ALS engine decorated with colorful holiday lights. Watch for dates to be announced. CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Classes
The Fire Department in conjunction with Leisure Services offers classes in CPR. These are American Heart Association "Heartsaver" classes covering Adult, Child, and Infant CPR. The Heartsaver course is designed for the non-health care professional who may need to respond to aid someone in the home, workplace or for anyone wanting to learn CPR. Pre-registration is required to confirm class date and receive the required pre-class study material. Smoke Detector Program
The Fire Department offers a free smoke detector and/or battery replacement program for citizens of Safety Harbor. If you cannot afford one please contact the on-duty DC at (727) 724-1520.
The department offers free pool safety inspections and helpful hints for all homes in Safety Harbor. For an appointment contact the on duty DC at (727) 724-1520.
The department offers free blood pressure checks to all citizens. Simply stop by either station and we will be glad to check your BP.

Safety Harbor Fire Explorers
The Fire Explorers are a post that meets every Monday night 7:00 -9:00 pm at Station 53 and consist of an age group of 14-21. The explorers learn what firefighters, EMTs and Paramedics do. Please contact Post Adviser Charles Russell at
