Twenty Ghosts of the Belleview Biltmore
: Thursday, April 17, 6:30 pm.  Author, BonSue Brandvik discusses stories of twenty identical spirit encounters at the Belleview Biltmore, and her novels and research into the historic hotel.

Safety Harbor Library Foundation: Chair-ity Fundraiser:
March 16-April 17.  Over fifteen artistically designed chairs created by local artists will be available for viewing at the Library.  For a donation of $1.00 per ticket or $5.00 for six, the community will have the opportunity to own one of the chairs.  Votes will also be taken for the People’s Choice and Most Creative chairs.  The Foundation Chair-ity Fundraiser drawing of tickets will commence at 6:00 pm on April 18, under the Baranoff Oak in front of the Library.  Winners need not be present to win. 

3rd Friday Community Drum Circle: April 18, 6:30 pm.  The Safety Harbor Library Foundation presents a 3rd Friday Community Drum Circle with Steve Turner of Giving Tree Music leading the circle in the magical art of drumming.

Alah Rozanovsky

Arts and Culture Music Series: Songs of Survival from Behind the Iron Curtain with Alah Rozanovsky: Thursday, April 3, 6:00 pm.  Ukrainian pianist and émigré, Alah Rozanovsky, will perform on piano and tell inspirational poems and stories.  After graduating college in the Ukraine, Alah performed routines for Russian gymnasts and figure-skaters, worked as an English interpreter, gave concerts, and taught piano lessons before immigrating to America to fulfill her life-long dream of freedom.  Legally blind, she plays the piano and writes poetry to inspire others from an extraordinary life of struggle and defiance against the odds.

Peak Performance Massage: Thursday, April 10, 6:30 pm.  Learn about the healthful benefits of massage therapy followed by free mini massages.

5th Annual Poetry Month Celebration:
 
Thursday, April 24, 6:00-9:00 pm.  Join the Poets’ Mingle and enjoy refreshments while listening to a special performance by musical duo, The Last Ghost Dance.  An open mic will round out the evening with readings from local poets. Sponsored by the
Friends of the Safety Harbor Public Library.

Heart & Soul Cinema: Sunday, April 27, 1:30 pm.  Beginners; a young man is rocked by two announcements from his elderly father: he has terminal cancer and a young male lover.  Starring Ewan McGregor & Christopher Plummer, this film is MPAA rated R.

Creative Writers Group & Story Circle:
Wednesday, April 16, 6:00 pm.  This creative writing group, the Story Circle, is dedicated to helping you write your stories.  Facilitators Jan Golden and Sheila McNaughton provide lessons, suggestions for topics, and gentle feedback.  This group writes, shares, and encourages each other to preserve their life experiences.  

Safety Harbor Writers & Poets Library Group: Thursday, April 24, 6:00 pm. This monthly gathering of writers is meant to be a platform for those in search of forming or joining a writers' group, connecting to others with similar writing goals, and as a mentor group for writers in need of constructive tips and ideas on how to make their current or future group successful.  Bring something to share (optional) and if time permits, we will discuss the strengths and also how your work may improve.
