Making the Most of Your Closet Fashion Series – Class #1: Dressing for Your Body Type: Thursday, June 13 at 6:30 pm. This is the first class in a 3-part series on making your wardrobe work for you. In this one hour workshop, wardrobe and fashion stylist, Kara Beck will explain how to pick the most flattering outfits for your body shape and age. Kara Beck has worked on numerous fashion shows at the Miami Beach International Fashion Week and at Nordstrom's Department Store. Class #2: Dressing on a Budget will be held on Thursday, July 11 and Class #3: Closet Organization will be held on Thursday, August 15.
Caladesi Island Cookbook: Recipes from a Florida Lifetime, 1895-1992 with Terry Fortner: Thursday, June 20 at 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Tampa Bay Times Reading Festival featured author, Terry Fortner, will be sharing the historical culinary life of her grandmother, Myrtle Scharrer Betz, who lived all of her life on Caladesi Island. Hear about life before modern conveniences as Fortner shares the narrative of her grandmother as a Florida pioneer making a home in paradise.

Pet Food Savvy - A Program for Pet Owners: Thursday, June 27 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Do you really know what you are feeding your dog or cat? Some ingredients may surprise you! Join pet food advocate and author, Susan Thixton, for an educational hour to find out what you should be looking for on pet food labels, how to determine when your pet’s food might be contaminated and what you should - and should not - be feeding your furry loved ones. Susan Thixton is author of Buyer Beware and co-author of Dinner PAWsible. Copies of Thixton’s books will be available for purchase following the program.
