Welcome to October! We have plenty planned for you so be sure to take a look at this month's newsletter. You can also see our calendar at events.safetyharborlibrary.org for full details on all programs and events.

Youth (Ages 0-18) - Firefighter Story Time returns on October 2, Kids' Halloween Painting To Go kits can be picked up October 7-12, enjoy a harvest-themed Puppets, Tunes 'n Tea for Tots on October 15, and try Zumbini on October 22. Tweens, join our Tween Creative Writers Group on October 16, decorate a gourd during Tween Paint a Mini Pumpkin on October 22, and sample some seasonal goodies during Tween Pumpkin-Flavored Tasting on October 29. Teens, come up with a terrifying tale for the Teen Two-Sentence Horror Story Contest running October 1-31, try your luck with the Teen Surprise Book & Tea Giveaway October 14-26, get creative during Teen Writers Group on October 16, and celebrate spooky season with Teen Paint a Mini Pumpkin on October 22. The whole family can enjoy ICRE8 – Art Class on October 14, students in grades K-8 can come in on Mondays for Homework Help, and readers ages 8-18+ can pick up a Spooky Book Bingo card all month.

Adults - Pick up a Spooky Book Bingo card and read for prizes all month long, come learn Artificial Intelligence 101 on October 3, join us for local author Kristin Hare's book release – Hotels, Motels, and Inns of Florida on October 17, head to Waterfront Park for this year's free Blues on the Bay concert on October 25, and visit the Art Park for the Friends of the Library Literary Yard Sale on October 26.

ESOL Conversation Club and U. S. Citizenship Class

ESOL Conversation Club meets weekly for conversational English practice on Wednesdays at 10 am. Different topics are covered each week to improve communicating in everyday situations. Citizenship Class meets immediately after at 11:30 am to prepare students for naturalization and the U.S. citizenship exam.
